By coming along to church on Sunday and being part of activities through the week you begin to find a place of belonging. Everyone plays a role in building a culture of welcome and unity so there’s your first challenge. Regular places to begin connecting include:
Church – 9.30am Sunday including Kids Church
Monthly Church Lunches
Shed – Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat – from 8am
Ladies shed – Wed from 6pm
Fabric room – Mon 9am, Wed 6pm
Youth – 6.30pm Fridays during term
Common Ground exists because of generosity. Many churches teach a principal from the bible where God’s followers gave the first 10% of their earnings as an offering to God. It’s a good principal and it helps churches like ours survive. BUT what’s most important is that we learn to be generous. Try starting with 1%. As a church we’ve decided to give 15% away because want to challenge our generosity. Donations can be made in cash on Sundays or via EFT. See here for details.
By finding a place to contribute you will be able to develop skills, build strong working relationships and enjoy the pleasure of knowing you’re making a difference. Opportunities to volunteer exist in working with youth, children, retirees, in our shed, neighbouring school communities and across our campus.
If you’re ready to volunteer, please speak to a member of the ministry team.
